graham.reeds
Porsche Reading wanted to charge me for this. Is it difficult to do or require specialist equipment? Is it identical to the Boxster (the only video I can find online)?
GlosRich
Its not difficult. Open the bonnet, remove the battery cover, and then the covers at the side of that, ( take off the screen wash cap, to make it easier to get that side off) they are all just velcro'd in place, then if you look in the bottom on the bulkhead you'll see to fairly big holes, just clean any leaves rubbish out of the bulkhead, use a vac if its dry, and then with a blunt instrument carefully push down through the hole and check its clear, then pour a jug of water in to check it runs out easily. graham.reeds
So not in the passenger foot well like the Boxster. I haven't looked yet but I failed to mention that I have a 987.2 - is it like you said?
GlosRich
I have a 987.2 also. These are the only ones I know of. We dont have any in the rear, as there isn't a convertible hood.
Popular Post Spykee
Easiest way to do them is to buy yourself a trombone cleaner 😂 Sounds ridiculous but I learn't that trick when I owned my S2000 Amazon Prime Trombone Cleaner Edited August 6, 2019 by Spykee
graham.reeds
I got a trombone cleaner and while I could pass the cleaner easily through on the driver side the passenger side holes both had a diaphragm and then would not move any further after this was cleared. Chatting with the mechanic yesterday while my car was in for a service it appears there are 2 on both sides. I missed the second hole on the drivers side. Also there should be a diaphragm on all holes but this diaphragm is what gets blocked. If a diaphragm is missing then they don't replace it.
