B8s and Cayman R springs

Recommended Posts

Thanks guys for the updates. I'm going to getthe front done as there was no issue with R springs and OEM shocks. Also the cost is bearable at the moment afer having to pay for the aborted spring swap. B8 are priced out of my budget at the moment so will leave the rears for now. I may possibly think of OEM R shocks as well, but like the idea of the adjusability of the Konis.

The car just sits way too low now at the front with the Eibachs.

I fitted Cayman R springs with B8 shocks and didn't have the issue you described. I used the original spring pads (which I think are 6mm)

Yeah, that’s expected as B8’s are shorter shock bodies. B4/B6 and Koni’s are standard length. I didn’t want to go with B8’s on mine as I previously had the B12 kit (B8 shocks + Eibach springs) and wasn’t too fond of the ride but that’s all subjective and dependent on road conditions on where one lives.
